I'm having Lasik surgery today. I'm terrified but I'm excited at the same time. I've worn glasses since third grade. For a long time I did wear contacts but when I started needing bifocals, contacts didn't work anymore. Although the doctor warned me I might still need reading glasses, it's going to be wonderful being able to see without glasses all the time.

Eep! I hope it went well!
It did go well! At my post-op exam this morning, I was seeing 20/15. So far I haven't needed reading glasses either, which was a distinct possibility since I was already in bifocals!
